At Altrad, Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) is more than just a priority: it’s a value that underpins every decision we make.
We work with our people and partners across facilities, operational worksites, and offices to ensure our environment is protected, our
people go home safely – and that everybody has the opportunity to enjoy their ‘perfect day’.
The Perfect Day
Altrad’s Perfect Day Initiative recognises that our work choices affect our families and personal lives. Created by our people, the initiative moves beyond merely providing tools and processes – instead, helping people share what their ‘perfect day’ looks like as the motivator for performing tasks safely.
Empowering safety
It fosters a culture that puts the ownership of safety back in the hands of our workforce, where individuals feel empowered to make safe choices and challenge where needed. A day with zero injuries or incidents, no harm to the environment, and where everyone returns home the same way they arrived is a Perfect Day.
A Culture of Safety
We are industry-leaders in safety, with more than 40 million work hours without a Lost Time Injury across our Australian operations. For our clients, that translates into confidence in our operational onsite safety. For our colleagues and their families, it’s a confidence that their loved ones will be coming home.
Certified Confidence
We maintain this by integrating robust safety standards from our management systems into our operations, creating a culture where safety is a shared accountability. Our comprehensive health and safety systems are built on a foundation of risk management and are certified to ISO 45001:2018 for Safety Management. We are also certified with the Federal Safety Commission, and are active members of Safer Together – with our leadership holding positions on the Senior Leadership group and a variety of working groups.
Environmentally Conscious
We care for the environment, and are committed to the efficient use of resources, reducing and preventing pollution and developing recycling initiatives that see our environmental impact reduce year on year as we progress toward our plan for carbon neutrality.
Principles with Purpose
Our approach to environmental sustainability is based on three core principles: reduce, reuse, and recycle. We work to reduce our environmental footprint by minimizing waste and energy use, we explore opportunities to reuse materials and resources, and we implement recycling programs to divert waste from landfills.
We track our Carbon Footprint across the group too, giving us visibility on areas we can make changes to reduce our impact. Our environmental management systems and processes are robust and are certified to ISO 14001:2015 Quality Management.
Quality Built In, Not Bolted On
We consider quality beyond certifications. From our systems and processes to our workforce development and on-site delivery, quality permeates every aspect of our business. It’s a commitment to continual improvement that empowers our people and partners to explore new possibilities, together.
A Framework for Quality
Leveraging technology and backed by DNV certification for compliance with ISO 9001:2015, NATA accreditations in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Mechanical Testing, Pressure Testing, and Calibration services, we maintain rigorous quality control processes. Our AMS framework provides clear guidelines and accountability, optimising efficiency and performance throughout the organisation and on-site, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
