Pluto LNG – Effluent Treatment Plant

Project Overview:

The Pluto LNG Project, located on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia, required the construction of an Effluent Treatment Plant to support its onshore LNG processing operations. Altrad (formerly AGC) was engaged to execute the installation and construction works for critical components of the treatment plant, ensuring high-quality delivery while adhering to Woodside’s operational and environmental standards.

Scope:

Altrad’s scope of work included:

  • Installation of modules, pipe racks, and associated piping systems.
  • Installation and commissioning of condensate pumps and boil-off gas compressors.
  • Construction and installation of the flare tower, effluent treatment plant, and slug catcher.
  • Comprehensive structural works to integrate all components into the plant infrastructure.

Manning:

  • Peak workforce deployment of 452 personnel
  • 895,300 man-hours logged

Outcomes:

  • Successfully delivered the Effluent Treatment Plant infrastructure within the project’s timeline and quality requirements.
  • Completed 895,300 man-hours with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
